As the Internet grows more powerful, we grow more powerless…

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Daniel 12:4 KJB

I had a startling thought. Things from years ago weren’t anything like they are today. I was born in the mid 1960’s when there was no internet, no cellphones, no harshly sexualized TV, no 1,000+ bible PERversions, you could still keep your door unlocked, people weren’t so hypersensitive, men were men and women were women and not gender exclusive, people weren’t living off drugs, etc.; you can fill in the blank. There was still privacy to a certain extent, God was still worshipped as God, and the Bible was still the Bible.

Not so anymore. In the 50+ years I have been alive, I have seen society, the entertainment industry, and the fear of God slowly change for the worse. I can’t help but think that years ago we were better off, and our children still had a fighting chance to turn out good, well-rounded citizens of society. But oh my, how that has changed.

Nowadays, in case you haven’t noticed, everything is backwards, upside down and all scrambled up. My God in the morning, how, outside of the grace of God, do people make it through the day? The answer to that question is revealed right here, on the internet. Hiding in plain sight. This very powerful invention has taken us off guard and completely conquered every facet of life. Nobody does not possess a cellphone. Nobody has no access to the internet. Nobody is completely free from its cold, calloused clutches and alluring voices, sounds and colors. I can only think of one clever, very powerful being who is exclusively responsible. His name is, SATAN.

Think about this now. The Devil (Satan) is called by the Holy Bible as “the prince of the power of the air.” He is second in power to God Almighty Himself. Satan is the god of this world; God Almighty is King of the universe. God allows Satan a certain amount of power to act on men’s and women’s hearts, minds and souls, but in His will and timing. This is why I push the Gospel so much. Satan wants your soul, so he can have one more victim to drag to Hell with him when Jesus casts him into the Lake of Fire.

Since God allows Satan some power, he takes over every imaginable human thing that we need to survive and live. Since he is the PRINCE of the POWER of the AIR, he uses all kinds of electronic equipment to influence entertainment, news, fads, celebrities, false doctrines, liars, leaders in high places, and so on to control our lives. He uses THE POWER OF THE AIR, e.g. electrical devices (also called “the Devil’s DEVICES;” why do you suppose your phone or TV is called a DEVICE?). The primary method he uses, I’m convinced, is THE INTERNET. Everything and everybody you connect to, join in, buy from, publish to, have a conversation with, and keep track of is ON THE INTERNET.

There’s no such thing as writing a handwritten letter anymore. Youth today have no idea how to write a letter, since they have texts. My youth pastor said that he couldn’t write very well but he’s great at typing on a computer. There’s no such thing as talking to someone on a phone with a cord and a dial tone. You can add some more. The internet has been used by the Devil for much evil, loss and sorrow. I’m afraid the days of privacy and innocence are completely extinct, and have been for a while.

Thank God for those holy few (probably at this moment fewer than the fingers on my hand) who strive to give out the true Gospel in these evil days. We can still use this powerful vehicle called the internet for good, and for God’s Glory. God can turn evil around for His Glory, in His timing. We must be ready to obey the Lord and have beautiful feet to preach that Gospel, which is so mighty that it can literally pull sinners out of Hell’s flames.

So for example if you have someone who’s addicted to internet porn, God can use a faithful believer to somehow witness the Gospel to him to get him saved. Perhaps he saw an ad of sorts at the bottom of the site, or a link to a Bible site that caught his eye. If he wasn’t at the porn site at that time, then God would have used the believer to go elsewhere, much as Philip the Apostle was caught away by the Holy Ghost after witnessing to and baptizing the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8:27-39). But he found this one person who was secretly seeking the Lord at this particular time, and the power of God’s Word got a hold of his heart and worked on him until he got gloriously saved and burned his evil works in the fire (Acts 19:19). This is just an example I thought of, but I know that our Savior is more powerful than anything the Devil can do. Why? Because He is GOD!!

God is in the business of saving souls. Nothing is too hard for Him to do. He can and will save the vilest sinner, and the most saintly lost man or woman. Satan’s days are numbered, and getting less every day. The internet will fail, and Jesus Christ will rule forever. Hallelujah! Amen. Even so, come, LORD JESUS.

A Powerful Examination of Our Lord’s Crucifixion

I’m hoping that other bloggers don’t get the wrong idea when I visit their blogs and mention my salvation page in the comments. I am in no way trying to willfully intrude on your space. I hate getting spam too.

However, I am not apologizing for what I am doing. As long as the Holy Spirit of God allows, I WILL continue to post my comments in other blogs. I give a very good reason below. As long as you have your comments open, rest assured, I will attempt to eventually reach you with the Gospel. I am not forcing you to believe, I am simply offering you this beautiful love gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus.

But, if you refuse to hear about Jesus’ love gift of His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary, in that He shed His precious blood and died for you, taking upon Himself YOUR punishment for sin, breathing His last, and dying a horrible, painful, bloody, traumatizing, openly humiliating death, then being buried in a borrowed tomb, and then on the third day, by a mighty miracle of God, resurrecting from the dead, ascending on high, and taking His rightful place at the right hand of God Almighty… well then, you had just better stay away from this blog, because I have no intention of giving up and grieving the Holy Spirit by staying silent about giving the Gospel to people. Kindly, in God’s eternal view, if you consistently reject Jesus Christ, your fate is already sealed, and you will regret your folly as soon as you breathe your last and face God Almighty at the Judgment.

Here is a description of the tortuous, bloody, barbaric death of the crucifixion that our Lord Jesus Christ had to endure– and He faced it all– FOR YOU AND FOR ME. WARNING! NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!

Note: This following is not written by me, it is copied and pasted from an outside source. The Scriptures are unfortunately not from the King James Bible, but this is a very good, detailed description of the final hours of our Lord’s earthly life. Oh, what a wonderful Savior. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for enduring the cross for me.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The upright portion of the cross (or stipes) could have the cross-arm (or patibulum) attached two or three feet below its top in what we commonly think of as the Latin cross. The most common form used in our Lord’s day, however, was the Tau cross, shaped like our T. In this cross, the patibulum was placed in a notch at the top of the stipes. There is archaeological evidence that it was on this type of cross that Jesus was crucified.  Without any historical or biblical proof, Medieval and Renaissance painters have given us our picture of Christ carrying the entire cross. But the upright post, or stipes, was generally fixed permanently in the ground at the site of execution and the condemned man was forced to carry the patibulum, weighing about 110 pounds, from the prison to the place of execution.

Many of the painters and most of the sculptors of crucifixion, also show the nails through the palms. Historical Roman accounts and experimental work have established that the nails were driven between the small bones of the wrists (radial and ulna) and not through the palms. Nails driven through the palms will strip out between the fingers when made to support the weight of the human body. The misconception may have come about through a misunderstanding of Jesus’ words to Thomas, “Observe my hands.” Anatomists, both modern and ancient, have always considered the wrist as part of the hand.

A titulus, or small sign, stating the victim’s crime was usually placed on a staff, carried at the front of the procession from the prison, and later nailed to the cross so that it extended above the head. This sign with its staff nailed to the top of the cross would have given it somewhat the characteristic form of the Latin cross.

But, of course, the physical passion of the Christ began in Gethsemane. Of the many aspects of this initial suffering, the one of greatest physiological interest is the bloody sweat. It is interesting that St. Luke, the physician, is the only one to mention this. He says, “And being in agony, He prayed the longer. And His sweat became as drops of blood, trickling down upon the ground.”  Every ruse (trick) imaginable has been used by modern scholars to explain away this description, apparently under the mistaken impression that this just doesn’t happen. A great deal of effort could have been saved had the doubters consulted the medical literature. Though very rare, the phenomenon of Hematidrosis, or bloody sweat, is well documented. Under great emotional stress of the kind our Lord suffered, tiny capillaries in the sweat glands can break, thus mixing blood with sweat. This process might well have produced marked weakness and possible shock.

After the arrest in the middle of the night, Jesus was next brought before the Sanhedrin and Caiphas, the High Priest; it is here that the first physical trauma was inflicted. A soldier struck Jesus across the face for remaining silent when questioned by Caiphas. The palace guards then blind-folded Him and mockingly taunted Him to identify them as they each passed by, spat upon Him, and struck Him in the face.

In the early morning, battered and bruised, dehydrated, and exhausted from a sleepless night, Jesus is taken across the Praetorium of the Fortress Antonia, the seat of government of the Procurator of Judea, Pontius Pilate. You are, of course, familiar with Pilate’s action in attempting to pass responsibility to Herod Antipas, the Tetrarch of Judea. Jesus apparently suffered no physical mistreatment at the hands of Herod and was returned to Pilate.

It was then, in response to the cries of the mob, that Pilate ordered Bar-Abbas released and condemned Jesus to scourging and crucifixion.  There is much disagreement among authorities about the unusual scourging as a prelude to crucifixion. Most Roman writers from this period do not associate the two. Many scholars believe that Pilate originally ordered Jesus scourged as his full punishment and that the death sentence by crucifixion came only in response to the taunt by the mob that the Procurator was not properly defending Caesar against this pretender who allegedly claimed to be the King of the Jews.  Preparations for the scourging were carried out when the Prisoner was stripped of His clothing and His hands tied to a post above His head. It is doubtful the Romans would have made any attempt to follow the Jewish law in this matter, but the Jews had an ancient law prohibiting more than forty lashes.  The Roman legionnaire steps forward with the flagrum (or flagellum) in his hand. This is a short whip consisting of several heavy, leather thongs with two small balls of lead attached near the ends of each. The heavy whip is brought down with full force again and again across Jesus’ shoulders, back, and legs.

At first the thongs cut through the skin only. Then, as the blows continue, they cut deeper into the subcutaneous tissues, producing first an oozing of blood from the capillaries and veins of the skin, and finally spurting arterial bleeding from vessels in the underlying muscles.  The small balls of lead first produce large, deep bruises which are broken open by subsequent blows. Finally the skin of the back is hanging in long ribbons and the entire area is an unrecognizable mass of torn, bleeding tissue. When it is determined by the centurion in charge that the prisoner is near death, the beating is finally stopped.  The half-fainting Jesus is then untied and allowed to slump to the stone pavement, wet with His own blood.

The Roman soldiers see a great joke in this provincial Jew claiming to be king. They throw a robe across His shoulders and place a stick in His hand for a scepter. They still need a crown to make their travesty complete. Flexible branches covered with long thorns (commonly used in bundles for firewood) are plaited into the shape of a crown and this is pressed into His scalp. Again there is copious bleeding, the scalp being one of the most vascular areas of the body.

After mocking Him and striking Him across the face, the soldiers take the stick from His hand and strike Him across the head, driving the thorns deeper into His scalp. Finally, they tire of their sadistic sport and the robe is torn from His back. Already having adhered to the clots of blood and serum in the wounds, its removal causes excruciating pain just as in the careless removal of a surgical bandage, and almost as though He were again being whipped the wounds once more begin to bleed.  In deference to Jewish custom, the Romans return His garments. The heavy patibulum of the cross is tied across His shoulders, and the procession of the condemned Christ, two thieves, and the execution detail of Roman soldiers headed by a centurion begins its slow journey along the Via Dolorosa.

In spite of His efforts to walk erect, the weight of the heavy wooden beam, together with the shock produced by copious blood loss, is too much. He stumbles and falls. The rough wood of the beam gouges into the lacerated skin and muscles of the shoulders. He tries to rise, but human muscles have been pushed beyond their endurance.  The centurion, anxious to get on with the crucifixion, selects a stalwart North African onlooker, Simon of Cyrene, to carry the cross. Jesus follows, still bleeding and sweating the cold, clammy sweat of shock, until the 650 yard journey from the fortress Antonia to Golgotha is finally completed.  Jesus is offered wine mixed with myrrh, a mild analgesic mixture. He refuses to drink. Simon is ordered to place the patibulum on the ground and Jesus quickly thrown backward with His shoulders against the wood. The legionnaire feels for the depression at the front of the wrist. He drives a heavy, square, wrought-iron nail through the wrist and deep into the wood. Quickly, he moves to the other side and repeats the action, being careful not to pull the arms too tightly, but to allow some flexion and movement. The patibulum is then lifted in place at the top of the stipes and the titulus reading, “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews,” is nailed in place.

The left foot is now pressed backward against the right foot, and with both feet extended, toes down, a nail is driven through the arch of each, leaving the knees moderately flexed. The Victim is now crucified. As He slowly sags down with more weight on the nails in the wrists, excruciating pain shoots along the fingers and up the arms to explode in the brain — the nails in the wrists are putting pressure on the median nerves.

As He pushes Himself upward to avoid this stretching torment, He places His full weight on the nail through His feet. Again there is the searing agony of the nail tearing through the nerves between the metatarsal bones of the feet.  At this point, as the arms fatigue, great waves of cramps sweep over the muscles, knotting them in deep, relentless, throbbing pain. With these cramps comes the inability to push Himself upward. Hanging by his arms, the pectoral muscles are paralyzed and the intercostal muscles are unable to act. Air can be drawn into the lungs, but cannot be exhaled. Jesus fights to raise Himself in order to get even one short breath. Finally, carbon dioxide builds up in the lungs and in the blood stream and the cramps partially subside. Spasmodically, he is able to push Himself upward to exhale and bring in the life-giving oxygen.

It was undoubtedly during these periods that He uttered the seven short sentences recorded:

The first, looking down at the Roman soldiers throwing dice for His seamless garment, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”

The second, to the penitent thief, “Today thou shalt be with me in Paradise.”

The third, looking down at the terrified, grief-stricken adolescent John — the beloved Apostle — he said, “Behold thy mother.” Then, looking to His mother Mary, “Woman behold thy son.”

The fourth cry is from the beginning of the 22nd Psalm, “My God, my God, why has thou forsaken me?”

Jesus experienced hours of limitless pain, cycles of twisting, joint-rending cramps, intermittent partial asphyxiation, searing pain where tissue is torn from His lacerated back as He moves up and down against the rough timber. Then another agony begins — a terrible crushing pain deep in the chest as the pericardium slowly fills with serum and begins to compress the heart.  One remembers again the 22nd Psalm, the 14th verse: “I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.”

It is now almost over. The loss of tissue fluids has reached a critical level; the compressed heart is struggling to pump heavy, thick, sluggish blood into the tissue; the tortured lungs are making a frantic effort to gasp in small gulps of air. The markedly dehydrated tissues send their flood of stimuli to the brain. Jesus gasps His fifth cry, “I thirst.”  One remembers another verse from the prophetic 22nd Psalm: “My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou has brought me into the dust of death.” A sponge soaked in posca, the cheap, sour wine which is the staple drink of the Roman legionaries, is lifted to His lips. He apparently doesn’t take any of the liquid.

The body of Jesus is now in extremes, and He can feel the chill of death creeping through His tissues. This realization brings out His sixth words, possibly little more than a tortured whisper, “It is finished.”  His mission of atonement has completed. Finally He can allow his body to die.

With one last surge of strength, he once again presses His torn feet against the nail, straightens His legs, takes a deeper breath, and utters His seventh and last cry, “Father! Into thy hands I commit my spirit.”

The rest you know. In order that the Sabbath not be profaned, the Jews asked that the condemned men be dispatched and removed from the crosses. The common method of ending a crucifixion was by crurifracture, the breaking of the bones of the legs. This prevented the victim from pushing himself upward; thus the tension could not be relieved from the muscles of the chest and rapid suffocation occurred. The legs of the two thieves were broken, but when the soldiers came to Jesus they saw that this was unnecessary.

Apparently, to make doubly sure of death, the legionnaire drove his lance through the fifth interspace between the ribs, upward through the pericardium and into the heart. The 34th verse of the 19th chapter of the Gospel according to St. John reports: “And immediately there came out blood and water.” That is, there was an escape of water fluid from the sac surrounding the heart, giving postmortem evidence that Our Lord died not the usual crucifixion death by suffocation, but of heart failure (a broken heart) due to shock and constriction of the heart by fluid in the pericardium.

Thus we have had our glimpse — including the medical evidence — of that epitome of evil which man has exhibited toward Man and toward God. It has been a terrible sight, and more than enough to leave us despondent and depressed. How grateful we can be that we have the great sequel in the infinite mercy of God toward man — at once the miracle of the atonement (at one ment) and the expectation of the triumphant Easter morning.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

If you just read all of that, and you didn’t feel a tear roll down your cheek, or shudder at the inhumane, cruel method of the suffering and death of our Lord, or cry out to God to have mercy on your wretched soul, then your heart is as hard as flint and your conscience seared. I wouldn’t want to have read and know all of this and go about my day without thinking of it again. God knows your thoughts, and He knows exactly what you thought after reading this commentary. If you reject His Son, and all He has done for you, then you DESERVE Hell– every infinite, eternal, unending millisecond of torture, burning, searing, weeping, wailing, suffering of Hell’s eternal flames is yours, forever and ever. You’re given a fresh chance to repent with every new breath God has mercy on you enough to grant to you, an unworthy, Hell-bound sinner. Won’t you please acknowledge your sinnership in the eyes of a thrice-holy God and cry out, “YES, LORD, I BELIEVE YOU DIED FOR ME!!” I plead with you, do it NOW, while it’s not too late.

A Certain Powerful Author

I am an avid follower of the Jesus is Savior website. For years I’ve been reading its articles and referring to its many varied subjects in all of my blogs, this one certainly not excluded. I find this website a clean breath of fresh air in the midst of the tumultuous sinful turmoil of the internet world.

Unless I must, I won’t go anywhere else, for fear that other websites are corrupted in some way, whether it’s the Gospel or the very climate of the website overall. There’s just too many evil devices out there nowadays for a true believer in the blood of Christ to approach without prayer and extreme caution (Psalm 101:3).

I’m not saying I won’t go anywhere else at all, but I’m immediately turned off by anything that does not coincide with the King James Bible. I can spot a Bible error in no time flat. I am as narrow-minded as the Bible, as the JIS author frequently says. I love and appreciate his efforts and prayerful hours of hard work preparing his articles and videos. He is a pastor, thoroughly seasoned in life and very much on fire for the Lord. His articles are hard-hitting, yet compassionate. I highly recommend this website to anyone who seeks Biblical truth.

Even though this author gets much hate mail (he calls it that), and even though he physically suffers unceasing neck and back pain incurred from a bus driving accident back in 2004, he continues on in the fight for souls, the race in which the prize is the Lord Jesus Christ. He frequently writes scathing articles on different subjects exposing sin for what it is, and even though he gets over 25,000 hits per day, and his website is first on the list of Godly preaching searches on Google (his site has been, by God’s grace, up and running since 2002), there are some subjects that his readers carefully avoid, such as sermons from unknown preachers over the years who were as on fire for God, like Dr. Max Younce, and other preachers’ videos who have attained popularity but not fame, such as Pastor Danny Castle in North Carolina and the late Dr. Jack Hyles (a list of impeccable preachers’ works and videos). Truly this website is a microcosm of Biblical power and principles, Godly teachings and doctrine, and it all stems directly from the Scriptures of the tried and true King James Bible. Many, many folks have been born again from this website. That right there says a lot.

I’m going to do something he won’t want (cover your ears, Brother) and say to the world that this author is a prodigy in how much he loves God. It’s very rare that a man is so deeply in love with his Savior and will literally put his life on the line for others as he does, for his Savior’s sake. Yet that is the very command that Jesus gave us, to love the Lord our God with all our heart, our mind, our strength, and our neighbor as ourself.

The Lord Jesus Himself had nothing of His own, yet He is King of kings and Lord of lords. I think it’s a worthy cause to follow Him– and all those who know His precious Name.

A LETTER OF THANKS, FROM THE JIS WEBSITE

An emotional day…

It was a good day in the Lord’s house today. However there is something that weighs heavily on us as a body of believers. I do not wish to elaborate for privacy’s sake. I just know that God is in complete control, and He already knows the outcome.

PRAYER IS POWERFUL.

PRAYER MOVES THE HAND OF ALMIGHTY GOD.

Reminder:

  • God is OVER all. (He is OMNIPOTENT)
  • God HAS SEEN the future. (He is OMNIPRESENT)
  • God KNOWS your present, and your past. (He is OMNISCIENT)
  • God WANTS us to pray, for others, then ourselves. (J.O.Y., Jesus, Others, Yourself)
  • God can do ANYTHING His will demands. (He is ABLE!)
  • God hears and answers prayer. (He takes care of us)

God’s Power is Greater Than the Devil: Post from Blogger April 14, 2017

Above: The symbol for lightning and the Devil, also seen in many rock and roll groups. It also represents electrical power lines and danger zones.

Up again in the early hours of the morning. Sometimes my body just doesn’t want to sleep, so I get out of bed and try to do something to redeem the time and post here.

I find as I grow older that there’s no sense in worrying over trivial stuff. I am a child of God. I’m saved and going to Heaven when I die. I’m no better than anyone else, but I know things now that I hadn’t a clue about even a year ago, let alone than when I was saved at age 14.

For example, you ripen as you age, much like fruit. A green banana has no flavor and is hard and stiff, but let it sit and it will turn yellow and grow soft and sweet on the inside. It also possesses more nutrients and is a good source of quick energy as it ripens. Even bananas get “age spots”– but the more there are, the better and sweeter the fruit inside will taste. (By the way, God doesn’t make mistakes, and God made the banana tree, so those of you who look at the lowly banana with disdain may as well try one and see how good they are. It’s not like you’re eating a candy bar, you fool.)

As the days grow later I have a stronger sense of these end times and I must be about the Lord’s business. Even though few hear, I need to “sound out” the Gospel as often and as loudly as I can. My stats on my videos have plummeted, and it can be discouraging, but I know that Satan hates what I am doing here and he often drives people away to some other new thing or fad instead of allowing them to receive the Gospel and be saved. However, my God blesses my efforts and He will reward me in the life to come when I see Him face to face.

I am not about the numbers or the view count; I must do the work that God has given me to do, no matter what the response may be. Some days I get a flood of lost folks who, like a pack of hungry wolves, attack my message and try to tear down my ministry here. That’s what happened at my WordPress blog. I gave up on it, because Satan got the better of me. I regret that to this day, but I must give it to God and allow Him to use me here as well. Starting over is better than giving up on the sidelines.

This is a battle that we’re in. God is so powerful that He can use and manipulate even the enemy of our souls, who is the Devil. The Devil is the second highest power in the universe, the first of course being God Almighty.

Sometimes God uses the Devil like a powerful electric taser, because Satan is in electricity, which is the reason there are so many technologies involving circuits, wires, signals through the air, so-called “cloud” storage, etc., and Satan is behind all the negative side of the internet: spam emails, bogus sites, porn sites, chat rooms, YouTube, Facebook, etc.. Don’t you realize that you are allowing the Devil himself into your living room the moment your finger presses the remote control? He is THE PRINCE OF THE POWER OF THE AIR (Ephesians 2:2), which means he manipulates electrical activity and communications.

Other times God uses him as a more lethal weapon to control the weather, natural disasters, floods, etc. (by the way there is no such thing as “global warming”, that is a hoax contrived by the evil principalities in our government to get us acclimated to the New World Order and the arrival of the Antichrist). The Lord Jesus Christ said the Devil is the prince of the power of the air, and as such he also controls the weather under God’s commands. Satan is the god of this world, but Almighty God is King of the universe. It’s hard to think of that, but God is the One above all principalities and powers and He will have the final word in all matters.

Just speaking of my God, Who is my Heavenly Father because I believed on His only begotten Son, stirs my heart and makes me want to praise Him for all His wonderful works. God doesn’t make mistakes, nor does He fail in any one of His promises, one of which is that without Christ, lost people who die in their sins WILL go to Hell where the Devil will go in his appointed time.

Do you want to spend eternity with Satan, who hates you, despises your life, and wants nothing more than to drag your eternal soul to Hell with him? Or do you want to spend eternity with the Lord Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, and be with Him in Heaven forever? The choice is yours alone to make.

  • Admit that you are a sinner in danger of everlasting Hell fire.
  • Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ Who bled and died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and was raised again the third day.
  • Receive God’s forgiveness and eternal life from the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • It’s that simple. See this page for more info: HOW TO GO TO HEAVEN
